Knockout...

1...2...3...4...5...

May 3, 2009 - The Pac-man is again going to exemplify his magnanimity in the boxing ring. People from all walks of life have discussed the issues behind the near coming battle. Each and everyone have taken their stand as the flame of the battle nears its explosion. Would the destroyer still be fit enough to defend his winning streak and, again, show the world that it is a Filipino that rules over the boxing ring? Or is it time for him to bear the definite shame of loosing and having all the lime light on him gone amidst the darkness of being stricken aback?

The country is currently in economic crisis. The turmoil brought about by the depreciating value of our money and the rising of the current living cost has pushed us down to our knees. Nevertheless, it seems life is no better without watching a game of the so-called "hero". Pac-man's heroism is credited to each and every upper-cuts, straights and jabs that he releases to put the current contender to sleep. The fact, however, is that the same upper-cuts, straights and jabs are ,in economic terms , null and costless.

People stops their work, wastes their allowance to buy a pay-per-view ticket or even go more eager trying to bet for which round they believe the bout would end. They would cheer for him because they believed he is the symbol of the real Filipino working for his countrymen. He is probably the best hero this country could ever have. So much for being a Filipino hero, he actually chose his daughter to be born in the USA to take citizenship.

Wake up people. The Manny Pacquiao you are currently so proud of does not count you as part of his winning streak. He takes you as the audience and wishes that his final blow would give him the ticket to have your vote count him into a position in politics. He works not to give fame for the country but, rather, to get himself more endorsements and sleep in a money-woven bed. He battles not for the Philippines but for The Manny Pacquiao that he is.

Nevertheless, I wish him the best of luck and hope he gets the belt that exemplifies the hypocrisy he has taken into being.
