Warm Congratulations...

The yearly election routine has come to an end. We have seen much of the pictures of people bannering the building walk; hearing the continous chants from avid political supporters; receiving leaflets of each candidates' GPOA and character description; reading through articles in the school paper about the platform of each political party; and listening to passionate speeches, debates and conversations uttered by each and every candidate. The war has halted and the victor stood still. My warm congratulations to those chosen as representatives of the students.

The Student Council is not in position as a higher entity in the heirarchy of the student body. They are but a summon of the student body - a wall lying by its foundation. Without the very existence of the students, the existence of the student council is far from imaginable. Thus, it pains me to think that their would be instances where officials forget the very cause of their stay in the council. They are their for the student's welfare - not for their party's dignity; not for a good addition to their resume listing; not for giving advantage to those who they need to pay gratitude.

My message is for the whole council- for those that has done the mistake and for those that is to do the mistake. You have no right to step high cause the sit you'll be sitting on is not for power but for a slave. You have been voted to give service and not to be served. You are not to push us your ideas nor to try to manipulate us to siding with you. We need more of a listener that would hear the concerns of the students and present it for the council to see their shortcomings and to give answers to the students neccesities. What is good for the student is not what you think is good for them, but rather, is what they think they need. Being in position is not being on top of everyone, but rather being under everyone. Our concerns is your outmost priority. Being those that placed you into position, our expectations of you is clear. We want you to perform as individuals representing the whole.

Again... my congratulations to each and every official that the student body decided to put into position...

P.S. Special mention to KaPiTas rooster of politicians who i expect to perform with outmost concern for the students...
